SIM Card Guru is operated by BUG Travel Publishing Ltd.

BUG publishes budget travel information online at www.bug.co.uk and we started selling international sim cards after many people using our site expressed frustration with both the difficulty in buying sim cards at their destination and the high prices charged by other companies that sell international sim cards online.

Delivery information

In most cases, sim cards purchased from us are shipped from Australia via Australia Post. Australia Post estimate delivery times to the UK of around five business days, however delays can occur and we advise you to allow two weeks for your sim card to be delivered.

We offer free worldwide delivery on all sim cards purchased from us.

Our returns policy

If something you buy from simcardguru.co.uk is damaged or faulty or hasn’t met your expectations you can send it back for a refund or to exchange it for another product.

Damaged or faulty products can be returned to us within six months of the purchase date along with a copy of your tax invoice and a short note telling us what it wrong with it. We will refund your purchase price within one week of receiving the returned item.

If the product isn’t damaged, but you’re not 100% happy with it or you have simply changed your mind; then you may return it to us, unused and in its original packaging, within six months of the purchase date along with a copy of your tax invoice. We will refund your purchase price within one week of receiving the returned item.

Our commitment to privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

If you contact us to ask us to include a gift card to personalise a gift order of a product you order for another person, the information you provide to us to create a gift card is only used for that purpose, and it is only disclosed to the person receiving the gift.

Credit card information is sent directly to either Google (if you pay using Google Checkout) or PayPal (if you choose PayPal as your payment option). Either Google or PayPal will process your credit card on our behalf. We do not see your credit card details and we do not have access to your payment details.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive or contact you about your order. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website.

Activating your sim cards

Some sim cards that we sell need to be activated prior to use. The activation process may involve giving personal information to the network operator that you purchased a sim card for and in many countries it is a legal requirement that the local mobile phone network collect this information as a safeguard against illegal use of your mobile phone.

The T-Mobile sim cards that we sell for use in the United States are already activated and ready to use so you do not need to give any personal information to T-Mobile in order to use your service; however mobile networks in Australia are legally required to collect personal information such as your address and identification (such as your credit card or passport) before they can activate your service. Sim cards for most other countries fall somewhere between these two and usually involve a short phone call to set up your service.
